Message from Head of the Department

The Department of Pharmaceutics is a place where commitment to excellence in academia, research and development is demonstrated through the productivity and success of our faculty and students. The Department provides curricular content in the areas of pharmaceutics, physical pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical microbiology, pharmaceutical engineering, pharmaceutical technology, industrial pharmacy and biopharmaceutics in the B.Pharm.

The focused research areas of the department at M.Pharm level are i) Preformulation studies, ii) Development of different pharmaceutical dosage forms iii) Novel drug delivery systems including computer aided drug delivery system iv) Evaluation of developed dosage forms with respect to various in vitro parameters and v) Studying the biopharmaceutical aspects of the drug as well as its dosage forms.

The Department of Pharmaceutics has competent, well qualified and experienced Faculty Members, well-equipped laboratories, and adequate industry exposure in order to return the society well trained Pharmacist in the profession of pharmacy. We are committed to the overall development of students with due respect to academics, research experience, value based education and discipline.

We have excellent departmental library equipped not only with text books but also with a number of research thesis and scientific journals. This facility helps the students to prepare for their projects.

We provide supportive environment for all students to thrive in research & academics thus bringing a feeling of belongingness and pride in Students and all the stakeholders.
